  A smaller store, produce here is not so great. I had an interesting experience here. I had a trolley load of goods and all I could see were self serves open. Looking around for a checkout a team member directs me to a closed register, i approached the checkout expecting the usual snap back of "im closed!!" which sure enough was the response I got. I politely explained to the cashier i was directed here by your supervisor to which begrudgingly she moaned "ohhhh ok" and continued serving her customer. Once she finished with her customer she promptly signed out of her register and walked off. Perplexed I looked at another customer behind me thinking what's happening here and we waited about 3 mins until someone acknowledged we were waiting and were finally served. Hooray. Coles service at it's finest! Yes, prices are down but is so the service by the looks of it too. On a side note, if you leave a trolley unattended here expect to turn around and find it's rolled away making you chase after it to avoid smashing into a fellow shopper. Makes for an entertaining shop :)

  Shame on coles I went to coles this morning 29/05/2017 approximately 8:30-9:00 am and i did my shop and went to self service to pay cash, I put $50 dollar in the machine and waiting to receive the change but no action from the money machine ,I told the staff the young girl said" I cant open the money machine and she called another staff) the other lady came and opened the money machine to check if the money that I put in the machine is there or not, it is my bad luck day , the second staff did not find the money( $50) but I insist ed that I put the money in the money machine ,they said no money there so need to check by security camera(the footage) they call the man who is responsible on security camera and the second lady with the security camera responsible man went to the check the footage and after five minutes later they came and the person who is responsible on the security cameras said that I didn't put any money(the security camera didn't show you have money and put in the machine, the camera show that there is a receipt in your hand) ,but I insist i put the money and i don't have any money in my pocket and this is not my fault the money machine fault and I said I need my $50 , the man answered we cannot give you $50 because the security camera didn't show you put any money. I told you I want to see the footage and he answered me you cannot, he went again to security camera room and check the footage , at this time the young lady (staff) told me to wait outside the area of self service and all this time the staff deal with me like i am lying or thief and whatever they think, after a while the man who is check the security camera footage came and didn't say anything and he checked the machine and find notes said the machine fail , I told him what a shame on coles and their security cameras that I am waiting more than half an hour telling you that I put the money but no one from the three coles staff believe me and they talked with me an unacceptable way in front of all other costumer !!! After that they want from me to take the stuff that i shopped and give me the change, I said sorry I don't like to shop again fro (coles/ lalor) and I want to give me back my money($50). The person who is responsible on security camera footage who insisted that camera didn't show that i put the money want to give me the things that i shopped free as gift but I refused and I said this is not the right way to deal with the costumer. I need everyone to read this review' I am asking can those three staffs from Coles 47-71 May Rd, Lalor give me back my value in front of the other coles staff and the other costumers!!! I know the staff names and am going further in this matter
